Dolfino equipment?

scuba equipment
Donna asked:

I’ll be taking a scuba course this fall through my college and am looking for scuba equipment. I came across an ad online, selling some dolfino fins, mask, and snorkel. Will these be okay to work with? As far as I know, most of the diving will be in a pool, and I won’t be in teh ocean anytime soon. Mostly just lakes. So will these be okay or should I get a better pair? By the way, I’m a college student so I can’t go all out with brand new stuff for it… :-(

Fins and snorkel would be ok to buy online just make sure you get the right size. You can go to a local dive shop and check out the sizes so you will have an idea of what you need to get. You should also find out if you will be wearing boots or not because that will greatly effect the size of fin you get. As for the mask go with a new one that you have tried on that seals to your face. Other than your regulator your mask is your most important piece of equipment. Don’t try to guess if it will work or not. It should seal to your face without the strap on your head, and you will be in it for a long time so make sure it’s comfortable and not pressing on your nose anywhere. Even a little touch will become annoying and painful after an hour in your mask. Good luck with your class.
