I also plan on simplifing fish behavior in the presentation. Talk about grunts grunting, jouvinile to grown up differences, clownfish with anenome, sharks, sea turtles, rays, coral etc. What should I add?
Also, I have my own underwater pictures but I’m in need of some for fish I don’t have a picture of where can I find good pictures that I can use in my presentation?

Create a video blog…instantly.
explain to them that if a shark shows up,,,,,,stay very still…..and in case of sunami,,,,seek high ground……you could tell them if the fish promise to stay in the water we promise to stop bothering them,,they didnt invite us and probably could do without our company

Focus a little more on the Living Reef and the Life that it supports, that life is everything on earth. You can dazzle them with pictures, better to open minds to thinking about solutions rather than focus on the fluff.
You can put what you have in it and make a very informative presentation with a real and valid point.

You need to keep it really simple…. and remember to throw in a few shots of nemo.. and other “cute things”…. you should also talk about some “dangerous things” …. kids love that….. and “unusual things”… like squid ink or anemone catching its prey and angler fish …. kids remember those things best… then you should say how siltation and water runoff and change in temperature is killing the reef and everything on it…. but only very breifly… in my experience children cannot pay attention for more than 15 minutes… unless it involves Harry Potter.

Depends… i was in 6th grade (going into 7th) and i would very much enjoy that. I love learning about wildlife, especially marine life. At my school, there are different programs, regular, advanced, and gifted. I am in gifted, so that might have something to do with the level of interest in the diving the GBR. why not try asking ur students?!?
